Laser hair reduction primarily reduces hair rather than completely removes it. It targets hair follicles to damage them so they produce less hair, leading to a 70–90% reduction after a full series of treatments. Some hair may still grow back, usually finer and lighter, and occasional maintenance sessions may be needed. Complete, permanent removal of all hair is rare.
